According to the Habsburg land registry maps, Brìach is the name of the portion of hill where the vineyard is situated.
From the single-variety Rhine Riesling, this wine represents the quintessence of Ruttàrs. Its mineral quality and crispness are reflected in the strong varietal notes, recalling the aromatic quality of the best expressions of German and Alsatian Rieslings, with a sunnier and more embracing drink guaranteed by our climate.
Only produced in the best years and aged for many years in steel, its complexity and longevity are quite surprising.

Place: Ruttàrs hamlet, comune of Dolegna del Collio, hill, marl and sandstone soil, south-west facing.. Training system: guyot 10 buds/plant, 5000 plants/hectare, year of planting 1989; hand-harvest, yield 5 tons/hectare.

100 % Riesling from 2007 vintage. Soft pressing. Fermentation in steel tank at 18°C. Ageing in steel tank for 78 months, ageing in bottle 6 months. No filtered.

Colour: straw yellow with golden shades. Intense and complex bouquet with mineral hints, smoke, dried herbs. Dry and fresh in mouth, very long finish with typical mineral aftertaste.

“Fossa” cheese, smoked goose, trouffle-based plates, smoked salmon .Serve at 13-14°C.
